Pictones Play Full Videos
Thanks to Musiwave and Actimagine, the Pictones product line now offers full video mobile ringtones. Vodafone in Italy has already rolled out this new generation of Pictones. Pictones, first released by Musiwave (Openwave) in 2004, combine songs with animated images extracted from video clips. By integrating Actimagine's advanced Mobiclip software, Musiwave is now able to provide unique, high-quality full video ringtones. Like existing ringtones, video tones are either integrated into the user's mobile handset, or easily downloaded. "Users can now enjoy watching their favorite singers and personalities with each incoming call, enabling the further personalization of their mobile phone," said Andre Pagnac, CEO of Actimagine.
Watchtones Mix Audio, Video
Video plus ringtone equals Watchtone. That's according Makayama, an Amsterdam-based mobile media and software company. Watchtones play video with music on a user's mobile phone screen when a call is coming through. Makayama says its Watchtones video ringtones are compatible with Nokia Series 60 phones, including N-Gage, QD, and Nseries.
